Pupils have been exploring various ways to support their own mental health this week. Our youngest pupils have been doing mindfulness colouring, painting rainbows, listening to calming music and using a breathing ball to regulate their breathing.
Having a ‘bank’ of strategies they can draw on will support them in the future when they face tricky or challenging situations; they can also choose items from our ‘well-being trolley’ which include a range of fiddle toys, books or a small soft toy to help them focus and calm.
