The Parents & Friends Association (PFA) of Cockwood School is a charity run by volunteers (charity number: 1148770).
Our committee for 2019/20 is:
Meetings are held on a monthly(ish) basis during term time either at school or in one of the local hostelries. All parents and people who have links with the school are welcome to join the committee and group of stalwart helpers at these meetings to discuss fundraising ideas, events and how to spend the money.
We love to welcome new committee members but are only too aware that time is precious so if you are able to help out at an event or attend an occasional meeting we will always be pleased to see or hear from you!
Whilst our main aim is raising funds to provide the school with financial support in the form of new and updated equipment and assisting with the cost of educational trips and activities we also hope to bring our ‘school family’ together at social gatherings.
A varied range of events take place annually such as the Hallowe’en Disco, Christmas and Summer Fayres and Chocolate Bingo but we also work hard to offer new, one-off and alternative activities. The 50/50 Club and other schemes are examples of our ongoing, regular fundraising. Click ‘What Can I Do?’ for a full list of ways to help outside of advertised events.
Feedback on existing events or suggestions for new ways to raise funds are always welcome. Please feel free to speak to one of the committee members or email us via firstname.lastname@example.org
