The whole school enjoyed a lovely Harvest Festival celebration at St. Mary’s Church, Cofton. The theme this year was Appreciation which is our school value this half term. Each class made a super contribution with Class 1 delivering some first class readings! It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers there.
The children enjoyed a fantastic performance of the production ‘Table Manners’, exploring the themes of food, friendship and difference this week.
A group of pupils enjoyed a super day out at Wimbledon. They travelled by train and saw some amazing tennis on Court 1, to include the Venus Williams match. A brilliant day was had by all and the children were incredibly well behaved.
Pupils and Staff performed the musical Beauty and the Beast at the Langstone Cliff Hotel this week. It was a brilliant show, with Year 6 students taking the lead. Well done to all who supported this event and for making the evening so amazing!

Pupils spent the day looking at road safety. They met with Rob Harvey, a member of the local police and Dave Leggett, a Cockwood resident, to explore how to keep ourselves safe around the school site. The children monitored parking before school and asked lots of very important questions in the assembly.
Children and Staff performed brilliantly at the Langstone Cliff Hotel this week. Their interpretation of the hit show Oliver was a huge success, raising over £500 for the school.
Budding business tycoons are preparing to launch into their second year of profit. The brand of mouthwatering chutney will be available to purchase at the annual Cockwood School Farmers’ Market on Cockwood Village Green.
