We enjoyed World Book Day at Cockwood, with the children and staff dressing up as their favourite character and taking part in some lovely reading based activities. Well done to everyone who made such an effort with costumes.
Pupils in Class 2 entertained parents, staff and pupils with a brilliant Roman assembly. We enjoyed dancing, storytelling and learnt so much from the children!
Children spent the afternoon designing and testing their own rockets in our science competition. It was great fun and the teams gained points for super designs and rockets that flew the furthest.
Pupils and staff organised a fantastic community event, supported by the Big Lottery Fund. Residents of the village, pupils from other local schools and members of the community visited the school and enjoyed a range of activities.
