Pupils in Class 2 enjoyed a brilliant residential on Dartmoor this week. Pupils enjoyed lots of outdoor learning, candle making and especially dinner time with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Thank you to YHA Dartmoor at Bellever and all of the adults who supported this fantastic experience.
Parents, staff and pupils came together recently to raise funds for Cancer Research by taking part in a Race for Life Challenge. Everyone at Cockwood are delighted with the new playground facilities, made possible by a grant from Sport England Primary Spaces. We held our annual Talent Show and as usual the standard was high! The judges finally decided on 3 runners up and an ultimate winner. A lovely duet of Your song sang by two Year 5 girls. A good afternoon enjoyed by the whole school!
Pupils in Class 2 had an amazing day unlocking the past with an expert from RAMM,Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery. The children practised the ancient process of mummification and spent time examining artefacts in their quest to unlock the secrets of the past.
